At the time the order was placed the projected delivery time was 30 weeks, but completed the column in only 26 weeks. They worked with us to accommodate the RSC production schedule. Gladwin Tank also worked with construction contractors to allow for painting in their shop and gave them the opportunity to visit the shop and discuss the assembly of the platforms to help save time with construction. they could have a new stainless steel shell built, stamped and
delivered in less than 8 days. They were able to accomplish this in
seven days. Having the new shell enable the plant to maintain its
start up schedule. Gladwin pulled through again for us. THANK YOU for making this happen” "During the September shutdown at *** building. They experienced a failure of the bottom nozzle of their blowdown tank. Upon further inspection, we realized the vessel was severely corroded and may not be repairable. And if it were repairable, it would only provide a limited amount of service time before total failure of the vessel. A new vessel for a project on site was identified as a probable match but it needed some alterations to make it a viable option. The vessel was shipped to Gladwin tank on Friday afternoon (9/24). They scheduled personnel to come in first thing Saturday morning and stay until the alterations were complete. This included the Engineering Manager completing the code calculations to ensure the needed alterations met code requirements, Dow specs as well as witnessing the hydrotest of the modified vessel. The vessel was picked up at their shop early Sunday morning and dropped off at the plant. Where it was put into service. The quick and complete response from Gladwin Tank in modifying the vessel allowed the plant to recover from a potentially crippling event. I am pleased to be able to consider this kind of service as an alternative to repairs within our plant, and your fast and accurate response means this is a feasible alternative. The welding on this vessel is particularly noteworthy: we found no relevant indications upon receipt. The tradesman involved showed proper care and delivered what appears to be flawless welding. This is most appreciated, especially when defects would mean more time added to the installation schedule. I cannot help but think the reason this project was a success is because of your commitment to communication throughout. It is true we run into differences between the drawing and what’s really there, but these only turn into problems when one of us is not aware of them”
